Who am I…
I am Kristy and I have been an Osteopath since 2008 and have been based in Chelmsford ever since. Along with my Osteopathic degree, I also gained a Diploma in Naturopathy. I went on to get a Masters in Paediatric Osteopathic Medicine, and a further Diploma in Nutrition.
I enjoy working with patients of all ages, having seen children as young as 5 days old, and adults as old as 93 years in private practice. This means I get to see patients with a vast range of health issues.
My ethos for my Osteopathic patients and Sleep clients is the same – an individual approach, tailor made to the requirements of the person. For my Osteopathic patients, I offer both a Structural and Cranial approach to treatment, alongside sports massage, and often provide additional advice for my patients to go away and follow. I am able to offer K taping for injuries as is required.
Away from work I am a qualified dance teacher, and enjoy dancing, running, and yoga to keep myself fit and healthy. I have 2 young children myself which keep me busy, and also gives me a deep understanding of the challenges disrupted sleep can bring to the family dynamic.
“Personalised, tailor-made care and support is at the centre of what I do”
Across my years as a Paediatric Osteopath, I found myself helping parents with sleep issues, offering bits of advice and guidelines. I enjoyed this area of work so much that I went on to qualify as a Sleep Consultant, where I can provide families with targeted advice, a personalised sleep plan, and support whilst they put the plan into place.
For my Sleep Clients, I can provide a plan that works for the child, but that the parents are comfortable to follow; the only approach I will not support is ‘cry it out’.
